ALL DAY ADORATION - Wednesday, June 10
St. Edward’s Parish will have all-day adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on the second Wednesday of June. The adoration will begin following the 10am Mass and continue until 8:00pm. During this time the church will remain open for visitation and prayer.
To ensure that there is always someone with the Blessed Sacrament we need three people to sign up for each hour. The sign-up sheet is located at the back of the church. You may contact (Rita Bruce – 709-770-1319 if you have any questions.)

ANNUAL CELEBRATION OF MARRIAGE AND FAMILY LIFE
On Sunday June 14, at 3:00 p.m., the Archdiocese host our annual Mass celebrating the Sacrament of Marriage and the gift of Family Life at the Cathedral-Basilica of St. John the Baptist. All are welcome and invited to attend this celebration. Couples married in the Catholic Church who register by June 8th will be officially acknowledged at the Mass and receive a special blessing as part of this celebration. A registration form can be found on the Archdiocesan webpage (www.rcsj.org), or registration can be taken by phoning the Archdiocesan Office of Evangelization and Catechesis at 709-726-3660 ext. 2. (For those unable to attend, the Mass will be live streamed at Cathedral Basilica Foundation - YouTube). A reception will follow Mass at the Cathedral.

MARRIAGE PREPARATION
The next Marriage Preparation course is scheduled for November 7, 2026. Deadline for registration is October 23, 2026. It is recommended that couples complete the course at least six months prior to their wedding. Registration can be completed at this link: https://rcsj.org/chancery/marriage-preparation/register Couples will receive further information upon submission of registration.
The next course will take place in late Spring 2027 (May).
VOLUNTEER NEEDED
VOLUNTEER NEEDED - St. Edward's parish is looking for a volunteer to take on the responsibility for grass cutting and trimming around the Church/Hall complex. If you are interested, please contact the parish office at 709 834 9481.
USHERS NEEDED
The parish is in need of more Ushers (Hospitality) for Saturday and Sunday Masses. Ushers are responsible for such things as welcoming parishioners, distribute bulletins, assist with seating when required, etc.. Those interested are asked to contact Coordinator Jim Woodrow – 709-773-0010 email jimlwoodrow@hotmail.com or call the parish office. A workshop will be held in the near future to review responsibilities. Thank you.

PRE-AUTHORIZED GIVING (PAG)
Pre-authorized Giving assists parishioners in making their regular parish offerings. Offerings will be withdrawn from the bank account on the 15th & 30th of the month. This can simplify your giving and ensure that support of your parish continues when you are away, ensuring regular and dependable contributions.
To sign up for PAG to St. Edward’s Parish, please complete the form available at the entrance of the church, place it in a sealed envelope with a void cheque, and drop into the collection or bring to the Parish Office.
