REGISTRATION FOR THE CATECHETICAL PROGRAM

Registration for Sacramental Preparation will take place at the Parish Hall on

Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2026 at 7:00 pm.  This is a three-year program.

Registration is for parent/guardian only.

Children must be six years of age by Dec. 31, 2026. Cost is $25.00 for one child or $40.00 per family. For further information feel free to contact Pat Burton; burtonpatpb@gmail.com.

ARE YOU, OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW, INTERESTED IN BECOMING CATHOLIC?

If so, please contact the Parish Office.  If there is sufficient interest, we will begin a program for the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) at St. Edward’s Parish this fall.  RCIA is a program of formation for adults who wish to be baptized into the Catholic Church or received into the Church from another Christian denomination.

The program will involve a weekly meeting and run from approximately September to early April.  This will also be open to adults who were baptized Catholic but never received Confirmation.

T’Railway Half Marathon

On Sunday, September 27th the Town of CBS will be holding the “T’Railway Half Marathon”, beginning at 8am.  This may involve some road closures and traffic delays. Last year, numerous parishioners commented that they had difficulty attending Mass on the morning of the race.  Dave Locke (Parish Council Chair) and Fr. Fleming wrote to Mayor Darrin Bent of CBS and communicated these concerns.  Mayor Bent replied noting that while the Town will not move the race to another day [...they are working on an improved traffic management plan, and to ensure that residents are able to leave there homes ...  wherever it can be safely accommodated...]

If you have significant trouble attending Mass on the day of the race, please communicate this to the Town of CBS or let Dave Locke or Fr. Fleming know.
