Fatima Bus Visits
St. Edward's
The "Fatima Bus" has been travelling throughout Newfoundland this summer and is visiting St. Edward's Parish this week on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (July 31–Aug 2). They have a variety of religious objects for purchase (rosaries, statues etc...). Feel free to drop by and visit them in the church parking lot.

ST EDWARD'S PARISH YOUTH GATHERING
3pm Sunday, August 2nd
Youth and young adults in their teens and 20s are invited for an afternoon of fellowship and faith. If the weather is suitable, we plan to explore the Manuel's River Trail together, then return to the parish hall for a brief video and conversation about the Catholic faith, along with a meal. We will begin at 3PM at the parish hall and expect to conclude by 6:30PM.
The gathering is open to anyone, whether they attend St. Edward's Parish or not. Bring a friend.
Registration is not required, however, it would be appreciated if you could call or email the parish office, so that we can prepare adequately for food.

ALL DAY ADORATION
On Wednesday, August 5th, St. Edward’s Parish will have all-day adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. The adoration will begin following the 10am Mass and continue until 8:00pm. During this time the church will remain open for visitation and prayer. To ensure that there is always someone with the Blessed Sacrament we need three people to
sign up for each hour. The sign-up sheet is located at the back of the church. You may contact (Rita Bruce – 709-770-1319 if you have any questions.)
OUR LADY OF LOURDES GROTTO
The Legion of Mary of St. Edward's Parish extends an invitation to all parishioners to join them for the annual pilgrimage to Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto, Flatrock, on August 9 - 3PM for outdoor Rosary and Sermon. All are welcome

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL (VBS)
Our Lady Queen of Families Parish is hosting its third annual Vacation Bible School –“Faithful Adventures of the Holy Heroes” from August 24 – 27, at 110 Ashford Drive, Mount Pearl. It is open to kids ages 5-7 & 8-10. This camp is a great opportunity for kids to learn about the Catholic faith in a fun & immersive environment. ST. EDWARD’S PARISH MUSICAL EVENING - MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
We are excited to host it again this year on Saturday, October 3rd, 2026.
The entertainers look forward to a return to our stage. Come and enjoy an evening of music entertainment as it promises to be a wonderful time. There will be prizes and 50/50 draws! Tickets are now on sale at $25.00 each and can be purchased at the parish office, or you can call or text Mona Morrow @ 709-325-3550.
Don’t miss out! We had great reviews from last year. We are asking parishioners to help sell 50/50 tickets in advance of the concert. They are $2.00 each. If you are willing to help with tickets, Mona Morrow, Dave Locke, and Jim Woodrow will be in the foyer after weekend Masses with tickets available.

PRE-AUTHORIZED GIVING (PAG)
Pre-authorized Giving assists parishioners in making their regular parish offerings. Offerings will be withdrawn from the bank account on the 15th & 30th of the month. This can simplify your giving and ensure that support of your parish continues when you are away, ensuring regular and dependable contributions.
To sign up for PAG to St. Edward’s Parish, please complete the form available at the entrance of the church, place it in a sealed envelope with a void cheque, and drop into the collection or bring to the Parish Office.
