Safeguarding Training

It is important to ensure that our volunteers, who are critical to the success of our Parishes, are also participants in our safeguarding efforts. This is a link to a course developed for Ecclesiastical Insurance and offers a short presentation followed by a series of questions. Safeguarding Vulnerable Individuals

It can be done at the individual's convenience. For those who do not have access to a computer, arrangement can be made to complete the course at the parish. More information will be available next week.

Reporting Sexual Abuse Committed or Covered up by a Bishop:

On May 6th 2021, the Bishops of Canada launched a national bilingual service for reporting situations of sexual abuse either committed or covered up by a bishop who is presently active or retired from ministry in a diocese in Canada. This reporting system can be accessed online at: BishopReportingSystem.ca or via a toll-free telephone number at: 1-866-892-3737.

CATECHETICAL PROGRAM - MEETING AND REGISTRATION 2026/27

at St. Edward's Parish Hall.

Registration Fees are $25.00 per child or $40.00 per family. Gatherings will be held approximately every three weeks on Sunday, at 12:00 pm (following Sunday Mass). Should you plan to register your child we trust that you will be prepared to attend all Gatherings. This makes the Faith journey so much more meaningful for you and your child.

Please feel free to share this information with your friends and relatives with young children; if the children weren’t baptized in one of our three Parishes we would need a copy of their Baptismal certificate at Registration. First year children will do an introduction to our Faith,

Second year will prepare for and receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation,

Third year children will prepare for and receive the Sacraments of Confirmation and Holy Eucharist.
